Synergy is a membership organization that asks members to commit to actively advocate for and create school cultures that value academic achievement while supporting the development of the whole person. It seeks to provide expanded opportunities for students to excel while supporting teachers, schools and classrooms in this work. In addition to membership fees, donations, service revenues and earnings from several endowments, Synergy raises funds and in-kind contributions to underwrite its work of fostering collaboration with business, family, community and faith organizations for the development of ethical citizens, facilitating student and educator recognition programs and supporting academic enrichment opportunities.

STAR Program Consistency of Implementation Workshop

This one-day workshop provides participants a review of how to imple-ment the evidence-based instructional strategies identified by the Na-tional Standards Project (2009) using the curriculum content and lesson plans from the research-based STAR Program. The focus of the work-shop is on fidelity of implementation of the evidence-based practices and use of data collection for instructional decision making. The work-shop will engage participants in hands-on practice activities to become fluent in the instructional strategies of discrete trial training, pivotal re-sponse training and teaching functional routines as described in the STAR Program. Participants will also be provided with detailed handouts to assist them to obtain fidelity of implementation in their school pro-grams. Participants at this workshop should have attended the two or three day STAR comprehensive workshop or be very familiar with the implementation of the strategies included in the STAR Program. Surf the Murph & The Savage 100

Surf the Murph will be held on October 23. The Savage 100 will be held October 22 & 23 and will feature a 100-mile and a 100K run. Both races will be held at Murphy-Hanrehan Park. This is a suburban course through a beautiful park. All races are on trails with two miles of single track, although the south end of the course runs like a single track due to the horses. All races will start at 15501 Murphy Lake Road, Savage, MN. These events are to be competitive and fun. Registration Registration will open on June 1 and close on Sept. 30. SWAG: To be determined. Shirt sizing is unisex. Refunds and Bib TransfersNo refunds or bib transfers will be issued for any reason.
