South Central Service Cooperative offers many professional development opportunities designed and coordinated by various cooperative specialists.Customized programs offer several options to meet your specific needs through a variety of delivery methods: online, face-to-face, facilitated, virtual, on-site, on-demand and outreach.

School improvement opportunities listed below include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assessment: ACT preparation (for educators to help students), formative assessment, MCA analysis and prep, NWEA certified training
  • Early Learning Educators: Early Childhood Centers of Excellence for Young Children with Disabilities, preK-K transition
  • Principal/Teacher Evaluation and Peer Coaching: Danielson Domains, iObservation training, peer coaching, principal development and evaluation, teacher development and evaluation

SOCRATES Customized Professional and Leadership Development Planning, Programming and Support

SOCRATES Leadership and Professional Development Programming focuses on supporting Blended Instruction initiatives. Customized programming options include work with:  

  • Blended teaching and learning models, elements and frameworks
  • Instructional strategies and related technology integration including a focus on student engagement and improving achievement based on Hattie Research
  • Google Apps for Education integration
  • Clarity, Moodle training, Promethean boards and ActivInspire software, SMART boards and Notebook software, technology/software products

South Central Service Cooperative’s special education services strive to provide support for special education services as well as substantial professional development opportunities for schools. Some of the services provided include:

  • Special education director consultation
  • Technical assistance for development of tele-practice
  • Conferences for educators
  • Training and data tracking for implementation of research based instruction for improvement of student outcome 

South Central Service Cooperative has a long history of working collaboratively with the member districts and strives to provide educator training that is focused on improving child outcomes.
