SCSC's Licensed School Nurse (LSN) and Mental Health Coordinator provides technical assistance, education/training, and consultation on health and wellness best practices, procedures, and policies

The LSN/Mental Health Coordinator will also plan and implement professional development training for school nurses, often in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Health, community agencies, and other state agencies.

Physical Health Professional Development

Staff Professional Development opportunities in the following topics:

  • Seizure
  • Vaping
  • Naloxone
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Medication management
  • Basic First Aid/BLS/AED -CPR Certification (American Heart Association) 
  • HIPPA/FERPA
  • CPR/First Aid Certification for groups of staff
  • General CPR/First Aid education for staff (Does not include certification)
  • Hearing and Vision Screening - Group hearing and vision screening for students in MDH recommended grade levels.
