Dustin Julius, Ed.D., SCSC Instructor/Coordinator for High-STEP, serves as local chapter advisor, organizing the chapter activities and serving as liaison with the state HOSA organization. The chapter is led by a student president.
HOSA is a student-led leadership organization. The goal is to empower future leaders in the health community through education, collaboration, and experiences. HOSA benefits anyone interested in healthcare by providing exposure to all the various areas of healthcare. HOSA offers competitive events that increase the knowledge and skills needed to be an effective leader. Community service is a vital component of HOSA and important to developing dedicated healthcare professionals in the future.
HOSA also allows students to connect with other students who share similar interests. Many opportunities exist for students to develop friendships locally, state, and even nationally. Experiences and memories created in HOSA will stay with you forever. HOSA is committed to preparing future leaders in healthcare!
In recent years, HOSA students have volunteered at the Mankato Marathon and Hockey Day Minnesota events.
