Jon Radermacher Hired as Cannon Falls City Administrator

SCSC and the City of Cannon Falls are pleased to announce the selection of Jon Radermacher as the new City Administrator, following a competitive hiring process.  Out of 14 applicants, Jon stood out for his extensive experience, leadership skills, and fit within Cannon Falls.  After interviewing four finalists, the city council and staff unanimously decided to appoint Jon as the top candidate.  He will officially begin his duties on December 9, 2024.

Jon Radermacher brings 14 years of city management experience to Cannon Falls.  His career began in Madison, Minnesota, where he served as City Administrator and oversaw significant community improvements, including an $18 million comprehensive infrastructure project and a $1 million renovation of the community pool.  In 2015, Jon transitioned to the role of City Administrator for Little Falls, Minnesota.

During his time in Little Falls, Jon spearheaded numerous initiatives to improve local infrastructure and public services. He played a key role in securing $1.5 million in Congressional Directed Spending to increase childcare capacity, which led to the construction of a new childcare center in partnership with the local school district.  He also helped Little Falls secure $8 million in grants for a $20 million renovation of the city’s wastewater treatment plant, ensuring that sewer services remained affordable for residents.

Jon’s expertise spans public finance, infrastructure development, and community engagement, making him well-suited to lead Cannon Falls through future growth and development. The City of Cannon Falls is excited to welcome Jon and his family to the community as he embarks on this new chapter in his career.
