Hudspith to Lead Waseca Public Schools

Eric Hudspith was unanimously selected to fill the Waseca Public Schools superintendent position at the Waseca school board meeting March 26.

Hudspith has a specialist, masters and bachelor’s degrees. He started his career as an elementary school teacher before becoming an elementary school principal and is currently working in the Mankato Area Public Schools as the director of human resources and organizational development. He will replace the retiring Tom Lee who has served Waseca Public Schools for seven years.

South Central Service Cooperative’s administrative services department, led by Ed Waltman and Harold Remme, facilitated the successful superintendent search for Waseca.

Waltman and Remme began by posting vacancy notices, vetting 19 candidates and recommending six candidates for the round one interview process. Three candidates were invited for a second interview which ultimately resulted in the 7–0 vote in favor of Hudspith.

Hudspith accepted the offer and will start in the district July 1.
