Career & College Readiness

SCRUBS Camp 2019 was hosted by Minnesota State University, Mankato June 17-19. They provided fun, hands-on, educational opportunities to 50 students in grades 9-12 from around the region.
 
SCRUBS Camp also provided the camp counselors (college students) with opportunities to learn about regional employers and future employment opportunities.
 
Thank you to all the partners who made SCRUBS Camp a success: Minnesota State University, Mankato, South Central College, Rasmussen College, Mankato Clinic, Ecumen Pathstone Living, The Pillars, South Central Service Cooperative, HyVee, Healthforce MN, South Central Workforce Council, and the Mankato Area Public Schools.

Lesson at Pathstone Living Community on aging. Students wore aging simulation suits and were asked to perform simple tasks – it was not so simple!Learning about Radiology at Mankato Clinic @ Main.Campers were lead through some yoga techniques at South Central Service Cooperative.    Practicing injection skills on a hotdog at Rasmussen College. It was difficult, not impossible, to get the hotdog to bubble!
