Moore hired as new city administrator for Blue Earth

Kim Moore City AdministratorSouth Central Service Cooperative was successful in recruiting Kim Moore who was recently hired as the new city administrator for Blue Earth, Minnesota, effective April 1.
 
Moore comes from Amery, Wisconsin, with more than 20 years in local government. Candidates had the opportunity to meet with the community members in a meet and greet session before the interview process with the full city council.

Mike Humpal, Manager of Local Government Solutions and a new addition to the SCSC staff, will be reaching out to set up one-on-one meetings with city managers, administrators and clerks to discuss and explain these new services. Cities can also contact Humpal at 507 236 7651 to request a meeting.
 
Humpal is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, and holds a Bachelor of Science in public administration from Northern Arizona University and a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
 
He completed IEDC’s Economic Development Institute in 1992 and received his CEcD (Certified Economic Developer) in 1994. Humpal is also a certified economic finance professional through the National Development Council.
 
Humpal served as a community economic development specialist for the Omaha Metropolitan Area Planning Agency from 1987 to 1995 and has served the city of Fairmont since 1995. Before leaving Fairmont, he held the dual role of city administrator and community development director and was responsible for all city operations.
