SCSC Virtual Wellness Conference a Success!

South Central Service Cooperative held its first virtual wellness conference Oct. 22 with 42 participants registered. Four presenters shared the screen to discuss nutrition, diabetes, resilience and desk yoga.

Hy-Vee’s dietitian April Graff started off the conference by talking about nutrition basics and what to look for when picking out fruits, vegetables and other food items.

The Omada health coach Danene Moberely provided a “day in the life” insight on interactions with diabetes participants in the program.

Dr. Russ from Learn to Live shared researched based strategies and tools focused on building resilience in today’s stressful climate. The group also participated in a calming exercise.

Brittani Daniels finished the conference by provided a relaxing desk yoga experience with tips on stretching and breathing.

Attendees enjoyed their Zoom experience and the many great resources shared but hope for an in-person conference next year to aid with personal interaction and networking. Visit the SCSC website for more wellness resources and watch for information on next year’s conference.
