Connect with fellow special education teachers to share insights, strategies, and best practices. Gain professional development, peer support, and stay updated on the latest trends in teaching students with cognitive disabilities. Together, we can enhance our skills and improve student outcomes!

The focus of the 2024–25 DCD Community of Practice meetings will be on the Science of Reading and how we utilize it to help teach our students with cognitive disabilities. Our time together will be led by Kayna Plaisted.

These Community of Practice events are proudly organized by Regions 6, 8, 9, and 10 RLIFs, working together to promote inclusivity and empowerment for individuals with disabilities.  They are FREE and VIRTUAL. CEUs are provided.
