Navigating New Standards: Empowering Leaders to Enhance Math Instruction

This session is a repeat of the in-person session that was held on December 5th at SCSC. A similar in-person opportunity will be held on January 22nd at South East Service Cooperative.

This professional development session equips instructional leaders with the knowledge and tools to enhance math instruction in their schools. By exploring the shifts in the new math standards and defining mathematical rigor, participants will be better prepared to support teachers in fostering a student-centered learning environment. With an understanding of the 8 Effective Math Teaching Practices and a timeline for implementing the new math standards, leaders will be empowered to drive meaningful improvements in math education and ensure all students receive high-quality instruction that promotes deeper understanding and success in mathematics.
