Paraprofessional Conference Date Set for 2005

South Central Service Cooperative presents an annual paraprofessional conference titled “Caring and Sharing.”

This year’s conference will be held Friday, November 4, 2005 at the Midwest Wireless Center in Mankato.

The conference is available to all paraprofessionals and Title 1 Coordinators, and provides a network for paraprofessionals to share information and experiences, and to meet colleagues facing the same challenges and issues.
Each year the conference features: a keynote address, the opportunity to attend three breakout sessions, breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and conference materials for a small fee.

Previous breakout sessions have included:
Brain Based Learning; Reading and the Brain
“What is a Learning Disability?”
“Hearing” the Sounds of the English Language
How Can We Help Students Understand Mathematics
Increasing the Paraprofessional’s Confidence.
