MN Student Inventors Congress

Vision. . . Imagination. . . Originality!
Minnesota Student Inventors Congress Season is Underway

Young inventors from throughout our region are preparing their inventions for the Regional MSIC Event to be held on Saturday, April 30 from 8:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at the Mankato Madison East Mall. The best and most innovative inventions will be invited to share their work at the state event in Redwood Falls, currently scheduled for June 10–12, 2005.

Student invention is a process that stresses creativity, innovation, and problem solving to create a product that answers a particular need in the child’s life or in society as a whole. Participating youth identify a problem, research it, test solutions, document results and then display the product and the results of their conclusions.

For more information on invention or how your school can become involved, contact Melanie Schmidt, Regional MSIC Coordinator, located in Mankato, MN at 507-317-5386 or visit the SCSC website at www.mnscsc.org and click on Minnesota Student Inventors Congress.
