Senior High Knowledge Bowl In Full Swing

The senior high knowledge bowl season kicked-off January 11th, with 81 teams registered from 35 different school districts in south central Minnesota. Each team will compete in 5 regular season meets and can attend the sub-regional meet March 14th at MSU-Mankato. The top 27 teams in sub-regional competition will earn the right to advance to the regional meet on April 1st at Rasmussen Business College in Mankato. The top 6 teams at regions will then advance to state competition at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd April 19–20, 2005. Good luck to all the teams.

Junior High Knowledge Bowl Completes Its Season

The Junior High Knowledge Bowl season culminated January 7th as 27 teams battled in regional competition at Rasmussen Business College. Congratulations to LSH Jade who finished in first place, followed by Fairmont Tomato in second, Central Maroon in third, Truman Tangerine in fourth, and St. James Cobalt in fifth place. Awards were also given to Brad Propp of Le Sueur-Henderson for “Best Reader” and to St. Peter White for the “Team Spirit Award.”

Sixty teams met in sub-regional competition on December 20th at MSU-Mankato, where 27 teams earned the honor to advance to regional competition. The junior high knowledge bowl season began on October 10th, with 60 teams registered from 28 school districts in south central Minnesota.

Throughout the season, each team competed in four invitational meets, with the opportunity to participate in the sub-regional contest and earn the chance to advance to regions.
