SCSC Receives FY05 School Finance Award

SCSC was awarded the FY05 School Finance Award for exhibiting fiscal health and sound fiscal management and accountability. The service cooperative maintained compliance with statutes, participated in training programs and conducted accountability strategies to qualify. Only 9% of the 524 reporting units received this award from the state. Staff at the Minnesota Department of Education reviewed local publications, audit reports, and thousands of pieces of fiscal data on the reporting units to determine the award winners.

Standard Mileage Rate Increase Set

Beginning January 1, 2005 the standard mileage rate will be 40.5 cents a mile for all business miles driven, up from 37.5 cents a mile in 2004.
