YOUNG WRITER'S CONFERENCE

“The Write Way to Success”…
Your Journey to Better Writing Starts Here

Don’t miss the 2008 Young Writer’s Conference (YWC) on March 18 (grades 3–9) and March 19 (grades 3–6)! This year’s exciting conference features Rick Chrustowski as the keynote speaker. Come and enjoy Rick’s spontaneous art expression — his talents will truly amaze you! In addition to the opening presentation, students select three age-appropriate sessions from 37 hands-on opportunities to explore a variety of subjects related to writing and creative arts. Area authors, educators, business professionals, and experienced writers are excited to interact with the students — to inspire youth and to encourage them to take their own talent to new levels. There is still time to register at: www.mnscsc.org — click on Young Writer’s Conference.

New for 2008: the YWC is offering a “Kids Can Do It Writing Contest” — open to all who attend. See the conference brochure posted on the Website for details. Also new this year is a book fair coordinated by The Book Shelf of Winona. The book fair is open to the public and is available both days of the conference in the Bethany Lutheran College Sports & Fitness Center gym from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
