MINNESOTA STUDENT INVENTORS CONGRESS

Caution: Student Minds at Work!
Imaginative —Ingenious—Resourceful: The Mind of a Student Inventor

On April 26 student inventors from Le Sueur-Henderson, St. Peter, Mankato, Sibley East, and Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial will gather at the Madison East Center for the south central regional Minnesota Student Inventors Congress. Students will showcase their projects and compete for the opportunity to travel to the state competition in Redwood Falls.

Student invention requires students to consider a particular problem they or someone they know is having and then develop a product to remedy the issue. Most participating schools begin teaching the invention concept in January. Communities have local fairs in their district or school to determine the best projects. Those top inventors are invited to exhibit at the regional Minnesota Student Inventors Congress in Mankato.

Last year 59 inventors representing 42 creative and innovative student inventions lined the halls of the Mankato Madison East Mall in April. Seventeen advanced onto the state competition in Redwood Falls in June including a “Kid’s Choice” winner. Details and photos from last year’s event are posted on the SCSC website: www.mnscsc.org. Join us April 26 and choose your favorite student invention.
