SCIENCE AND NATURE CAMP Date Set for October 24, 2006! A Hands-On Camp Offering New Opportunities for Science and Nature Exploration! This fall youth in grades 18 will have the opportunity to put their scientific skills into practice at South Central Service Cooperative’s annual Science and Nature Camp to be held Tuesday, October 24, 2006 on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN. Now in its second year, the camp has expanded to include more presenters, larger class variety, a choice of breakout sessions, and improved opportunity for hands-on learning. This year’s presenters will include but are not limited to naturalists, university professors, and community agency leaders, whom are experts in their field. All sessions will be related to science or nature topics. Each student will participate in 3 different age/grade appropriate breakout sessions, plus a keynote opening address by the “Zoomobile” from the Minnesota Zoo! Informational flyers will be sent to your school mid-May. Registration will open when students return to school this fall. Space will be limitedearly registration is encouraged!
