“Gearing Up For Your Future”
4th Annual South Central Minnesota Work-Skills Competition Day

The Work-Skills Competition Day was held at the South Central College on May 17. It is an opportunity for students, grades 11–12 to showcase their job seeking and job keeping skills in four categories; application writing, interviewing, problem-solving, and general knowledge. Students were from Blue Earth, Fairmont, JWP, Maple River, MN Valley Education District, River Bend Education District, Mankato East and West, Sibley East, and Waseca. There was an awards/prizes ceremony and magical entertainment by Jack McGowan. This annual event is sponsored by Area Community Transition Interagency Committees, South Central Service Cooperative-Carl Perkins Consortium, South Central College-Service, Work & Learning Center, and Region 9 Comprehensive System for Professional Development (CSPD) Project.
