Students Calculate Their Way to Mathematical Success
at Area Math Masters Event!

One-hundred and eighty 5th grade students from 22 schools competed May 4 at the regional Math Masters event held at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato. Students competed as teams and as individuals in the competition that featured a Fact Drill Exam, four individual rounds, and three rounds of mathematical concepts.
The Fact Drill competition includes winners from Monroe Elementary, Buffalo Lake Hector, Central–Waseca, St. Peter Elementary, and Montgomery Lonsdale.

Top finishers in the individual events include students from Bridges, Montgomery Lonsdale, St. Peter Elementary, Central–Waseca, Central–Norwood Young America, Monroe, and Hoover.

Team competition yielded the top three spots to Mankato students from Bridges Elementary, Hoover Elementary, and Monroe Elementary respectively.
