Regional Fall Chess Tournament Date Set

SCSC is pleased to announce November 3 as the date for the Fall 2007 Regional Chess Tournament at RiverBend Academy Charter School in Mankato. This one-day event, open to students in grades K–12, will again offer USCF rated and non-rated Scholastic sections available for play. Individual prizes and trophies will be given to the top-finishing players. First place in each category also receives a one-year membership to the United States Chess Federation.

Get ready for this exiting chess event coming this fall! Our goal this year is to offer chess instructional opportunities as well as a statewide tournament with the possibility of our winner qualifying for nationals.
