Junior High Knowledge Bowl Season Begins;
Senior High Knowledge Bowl Students Prepare for Competition

The Junior High Knowledge Bowl season began on October 13th with a meet hosted by St. Peter Schools and held at Rasmussen Business College. There were 30 teams in attendance from twelve different school districts. Similar competitions will be held nine more times throughout south central Minnesota so each of the 58 teams from 24 different school districts can participate in four regular season meets. The sub-regional meet will be held at MSU-Mankato for all teams on December 19th and the season will officially culminate January 5, 2007 when the Regional meet will be held for the top 27 teams at Rasmussen Business College. Trophies will be awarded to these five top teams.

The Senior High Knowledge Bowl Coaches’ Meeting was held on October 26th and the SHKB season is set to begin in early January. We will have about 78 SHKB teams from 30 school districts competing in south central Minnesota. This season will culminate with our State Meet on April 17 and 18, 2007 at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd.
