Excellence in Health & Safety: District 77 Approved as STAR Site

Congratulations to Mankato Area Public Schools and Joe Meixl, Health and Safety Coordinator, for their hard work and dedication to excellence in health and safety, the principles embodied in MNSTAR. Mankato Area Public Schools has been approved for participation as a STAR site in MNOSHA’s MNSTAR Voluntary Protection Program. This designation as a MNSTAR site is testament to sustained excellence in all areas of their safety and health management system. Their site will be removed from the programmed MNOSHA inspection lists. The Department of Labor and Industry recognized their work location with a MNSTAR flag and MNSTAR certificate. James Collins, MNOSHA Management Director of Workplace Safety Consultation, will attend the upcoming MNSTAR flag raising ceremony at this site.
