Junior High Knowledge Bowl
The JHKB Coaches’ meeting was held on September 18 with the majority of districts represented. Eight districts will have new coaches this year. Schools that are fielding JHKB are:

Blue Earth Area; Butterfield; Central; Cleveland; Dakota Meadows; GFW; GHEC; Jordan; LeSueur Henderson; Loyola; Martin County West; MN New Country School; Montgomery; Lonsdale; Nicollet; Sibley East; Sleepy Eye; St. Clair; St. James; St. Mary’s; St. Peter; Truman; and USC. Still Looking for a coach — Fairmont and Janesville Waldorf Pemberton.

Our first meets were held in mid-October. Each team will compete in four regular-season meets. The sub-regional meet for all 51 teams will be held at MSU-Mankato on December 18. The regional meet (for the top 27 teams) will be held on January 4, 2008 at Rasmussen Business College’s new building.

Senior High Knowledge Bowl
The SHKB Coaches’ meeting was held October 25 at the Northport Building. I expect to have about 84 teams again this year. Our regular-season meets will begin in early January. The sub-regional meet will be held at MSU-Mankato in mid-March, followed by the regional meet (for the top 27 teams.) This year the state meet will be on April 15–16, 2008 at Cragun’s Resort in Brainerd.
