The paraprofessional conference will be held on November 4, 2005 from 8:00 a.m.3:00 p.m. The all-day conference is held in Mankato at the Midwest Wireless Civic Center. The conference is open to all paraprofessionals and Title I coordinators.
The conference provides paraprofessionals an avenue to share experiences and to meet
colleagues facing some of the same challenges and issues faced on a daily basis in schools.
The conference will feature two keynote presenters:
Jody Pharr from Aha! Process, Inc.
Framework for Understanding Poverty was Dr. Ruby K. Payne’s first book, published by her company Aha! Process, Inc., a publishing company whose goal is to educate people about differences that can arise from economic class and the teaching skills necessary to bridge those gulfs. Jody Pfarr, a certified Framework trainer, will present the concepts found in Framework for Understanding Poverty.

“Basic Language Development” focuses on the basic principles of language development and language proficiency.
Conference participants will attend both keynote presentations and participate in two breakout sessions of their choice. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and all conference materials are included in the fee of $70.00 per person.
