The Mankato West Academic Decathlon team will move on to the next step of competition after winning the 2004 Minnesota State Championship.   Although the Mankato West team has often been an impressive contender (advancing to the national competition several times), this will be the team’s first trip to the United States Academic Decathlon national competition under the direction of Mankato West’s coach Katie Sulzle.  The USAD national competition takes place in Boise, Idaho in April.  Congratulations and best wishes to a team of incredibly hard working, dedicated, and promising students!
