DESCRIPTION

South Central Service Cooperative (SCSC) partners with several nationally known companies to provide insurance plans and services "that you can count on." As the result of insurance pooling, specially negotiated rates are available to public and non-profit employers who become (are) members of the cooperative network. Please review the products and services listed below and call our contacts for details – they will explain how "Cooperation Pays."

Dental Insurance: This is a voluntary program offered through National Insurance Services and underwritten by Delta Dental of Minnesota.

Disease Management: SCSC partners with Healthways, Inc. and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota (BCBSMN) to provide diabetes, cardiac and respiratory treatment programs.

Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB)

Health Insurance: SCSC partners with BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota (BCBSMN) to provide flexible health plans to meet the needs of your employees. 

Life Insurance: Partnered with USAble, SCSC offers comprehensive life insurance.

Long Term Disability Insurance: SCSC partners with National Insurance Services (NIS) to offer group long term disability insurance.

Medicare: Partnering with the BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota, SCSC offers Medicare products for your retirees including Medicare Part D, without a doughnut hole in the prescription coverage.

Property/Casualty Insurance: Partnering with The Hanover Insurance Group through the C.O. Brown Agency to offer a comprehensive insurance package, including a safety group dividend program.

The VEBA Plan — a medical expense savings account: Work with SCSC and BlueCross BlueShield of Minnesota to build a VEBA (voluntary employees’ beneficiary association) account to help manage your costs.

Vision Care: This is a voluntary program offered through National Insurance Services and underwritten by Ameritas Group.

Wellness Program: This program is provided at no cost to members and is designed as a tool to facilitate the improved overall physical, mental, and social well being of all member participants.

Workers’ Compensation: Partnering with The Hanover Insurance Group through the C.O. Brown Agency to offer a safety group dividend program.
