South Central Service Cooperative offers Professional Development opportunities through workshops and training sessions at the SCSC Conference Center or other venues in the Mankato area. ► Standards 101 for K-6 Social Studies Teachers

Content: Spend a day a day exploring the revised social studies standards at SCSC! Staff from the Center for Social Studies Education (CSSE) will help “unpack” the revised standards and benchmarks. The day will include time for you to explore your grade level(s) with other teachers and share ideas about how to address some of the new requirements. Resources for integrating with literacy as well as how to approach social studies concepts will be provided. Come prepared to ask questions!
